Long time no see!
Yes. I am back. But maybe not. Not really. For example: I will not be able to spend significant amounts of time in Second Life anymore. Whenever I have any spare time I will try to be with people in real life. And I want to try out other 3D worlds. And I will make funny pics with my mobile. So there will be enough to tell you. But if you are only interested in SL stuff, sorry. There will be some SL content, but less than before. And my shop is gone: Hopefully my stuff will be available in the flesh world soon! Wish me luck!

I have no idea where that video came from, I just thought I share a couple of things I have found on the internets recently.

First I came across this photographer from Italy, named Alessandro di Giampietro.

I tried to find more about him and landed on http://www.freshcut.it/ which used to be an italian style-mag but they haved closed, which is a pity, but you can browse the old posts where I found a link to BOX which is an NSFW-pdf-magazine with lots of photos (nudge-nudge)…

some of them freshcut people seem to be part of frizzifrizzi now and it looks a bit less …uhm… wild…? still worth a bookmark.

New PÖNK store!

Here is the SLurl for the new store!

Murdock is a quite nice city sim with some shops, appartments and a couple of hangouts. Worth a visit. I would love to meet you here!

But there is more to it. Drama, tragedy, catastrophe, disaster, epic loss! This is not any additional store, its the headquarter. What happened to the old one you might ask? Well, the beautyful village theEC, as well as the whole sim where it was located, is gone. ass up. confuckulated. fubar. hosed. whockerjawed!

Apparently the owner has quite simply disappeared. The actual loss is that the citizens have lost their homes, rather than any lost builds. It had been painful to find every single prim called "object" in the lost and found folder but after a couple of days I was able to get everything back together an opened the store at Murdock.

I still miss that place, but I am also glad about the new store, as it seems the traffic at Murdock is a little higher which might result in more sales. The store itself is not much bigger, but it has more prims and I was able to add a dressing room upstairs, which is what I wanted to have for a long time… I also added a t-shirt-spender with a FREE PÖNK shirt! So come by and grab it!

Yet another digital self…

There are quite a few virtual worlds to be found online, and even if I am quite happy in Second Life, I am curious about what other worlds there are. The main problem is the computer. mine is obviously the wrong one, as most clients are not running on a mac. From time to time I am able to use the computer of a friend for these reasons, but she is anxious about installing so much software on it so the only other world I got to try out yet is Twinity (Maybe you have heard of it already, as other people write about it, too: here, here, here and here f.e.). I think it is pretty cool that they are actually trying to rebuild the real world. The only existing place until now is Berlin, which is even better as that's where I am from, LOL! The next cities to be opened are Singapore and London.

After you have created your account (I was able to use my name, btw…), you can download the (windows-)software and log in. In the landing area you will always find a couple of people who will help you, so that it's no problem to find out how to walk and these things. The avatars do not look as beautyful as some classy SL shapes and skins, but the newbie-look is less ugly than in SL, so you don't feel as bad walking around like a Ruth amongst models! The clou is that you can upload a picture of you which then gets drawn onto your face. Of course I had to try that for myself:

Mmmh. I am not 100% happy, but it is not too bad. In a way it looks like a mix of my SL-avatar and my RL-self, which seems fair, as the Twinity-Berlin looks like a mix of SL and RL, too!

I will continue to visit Twinity and even if lacks quite a few things of SL (no flying, no own builds), it still feels really nice and I already rented a flat there, which I will use as a secret art gallery. And I will continue to talk about it! Yay!

What I like most about the shop are these modelling figures, which are actually animated! I did them myself! yay! One day I will become a builder, too! WooT!

Hero is reprising the program with something meaner and greener.

Marvel Comics has generously donated 100 blank-covered cardstock copies of the new Hulk #1 to Hero. The call has gone out to create a new, Hulk-centric “Ultimate 100,” and dozens of artists are currently putting pen to paper. Artists involved include well-known Hulk vets such as Sal Buscema, Mike Deodato Jr., Ron Garney, Ed McGuinness, Don Perlin, Herb Trimpe, Ron Wilson, and more. In addition, Marvel superstars such as J. Scott Campbell, John Cassaday, Frank Cho, David Finch, Joe Quesada and John Romita Sr. have stepped up to add their own take on ol’ Greenskin.

No, not much happened. No worries. We avatar persons are very much dependent of our hosts, so if they decide to spend their time offline, well, it would not be very wise to argue with them. Or even override them regardlessly. We could. Some of us do. But I really like my host. She is a lot like me. And whenever I have important things to do she is always giving me the opportunity to do so. Like now. Emerald City, the wonderful place of the PÖNK headquarters, is having a relaunch. So I have to move. The store is now in a temporary location until everything has been built. Thanks to Daisy and McCabe, who have given me notice and helped me. The building is, as far as I understood, a prototype of the new builds, and my old shop design does not fit so well, so I have just put the items on the walls and I am now considering how it should look once I have to move again. The style is more like a village, more cosy, gemütlich somehow, and I like it. Oh, we will see. I will tell you.

I sorta had to beg to be tagged but now I have problems to find any facts, LOL!

anyway, these are the rules:

(1) Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

fact 1)
I don't like chain letters. I never did. I took part in a postcard scheme when I was a kid, and I got 1 (!) card from my own city instead of thousands from all around the world.

fact 2)
I was a single child and hippies / beatles were synonyms at that time

besides dope, I never did drugs, but no one would ever believe me that.

fact 4)
I have neither piercings nor tattoos, which is as astonishing as 3), considering my background.

The only celebrity I have met was Vivienne Westwood, but she yelled at me when I was asking her for an autograph. I still adore her, though...

OK, Nothing new for SL residents: Secondlife have a new client which has something called “windlight” - very cool! This Photo is by Sofia London, and you definatly should take a look at her flickr stream! (My recent SL-pics have been taken with windlight, too, but they will make another post soon...)

There are so many unhappy people around me. I am unhappy myself so often. But I know I will be happy again. It comes and goes. Sometimes it takes a while, but you cant help it. It is a wave, only you cannot tell the wavelength or amplitude (I am so proud to remember that bit on waves...).

Sometimes it helps to remember that, sometimes it is good to see how happiness occurs. Yeah, sometimes it can make you feel even more miserable, but I take that risc and want to show you this:

I have seen a lot of people I have never met before, but as I usually have a lot of awaytime I consider this to be exspectable... I found a boy I was dancing with quite long: »Obscure« is an obscure name, I think. But I thought he was cute:

My favourite sim, EmeraldCity, needs money. EC is run privatly, not by any corporation, so they decided to hold an auction, putting themselves on bid. That was fun. And - they collected enough money to keep the place running, which is most important for me. EC is where my shop is, and I dont want to move it elsewhere! Here it just feels right!

The biggest annoyance was the lag. It took 5 to 10 minutees until people rezzed properly:

DEIRDRE is a tartan skirt with two zippers and a PÖNK sign at the bottom. The material is 80% synthetic with a whiff of a gleam and waistband.

DEIRDRE is MOD/COPY so you can adjust the length as you please and save copies of it with your favourite lengths.

DEIRDRE is version 1.0 but I have no plans on doing an upgrade to it in the near future. I might offer it with various other tartans, but those will be variations of the same design.

I like to wear ANTJE when I am in the mood for loud music! It is 90 L$ which I hope is ok.

So many of my friends said they would like me to write more about me and my life, rather than only about my business. And since I am a nice girl I thought about it and made up my mind: What the hell, why not?
So from now on this is a personal blog rather than a shop blog!

DEE (beta)

DEE is set containing gloves, shirt, bustier, panties, leggings, pants, stockings and boots. The material is 100% synthetic without crinkles, gleam or cut details.

DEE is basically an angled tartan texture applied on the different clothing types, and it is sold "AS IS", so you cannot modify it.

DEE definately is beta. There will be a complete tartan outfit with added details and adjusted outlines in the future. For now it is rather meant to give you something to combine parts of it with your favourite dress.

The price of 90 L$ is reasonable for a set of 8 articles, especially if you consider the possibility to get later versions (which will have to be more expensive) for free (read the FAQ).

I am addicted to tartan textures myself so you can expect many more similar designs later.
