LOOKBOOK.nu: collective fashion consciousness.

LOOKBOOK.nu: collective fashion consciousness.

What is LOOKBOOK.nu?

LOOKBOOK.nu is an international social experiment in style. It was inspired by street fashion blogs like the Sartorialist as well as "What are you wearing today?" forum threads across the internet.

How does it work?

  1. You upload photos of your looks, and browse others.
  2. Vote up stuff you like--community "hype" determines which outfits show up on the front page.
  3. If people hype your looks, you gain "karma" which builds your reputation as a stylist.

What can I use it for?

  • Show off the art of your style to the world.
  • Enhance or reinvent your image through feedback.
  • Promote your stuff if you're a designer / boutique owner.
  • Be inspired by original styles from every corner of the globe.

how to sign up?

LOOKBOOK.nu is an invite only community. If you're interested in joining, sign up with your email here and we'll notify you when invites become available in the future.

the goal?

To bring together diverse, aesthetically talented and open-minded people around the world and showcase the best in international street fashion.

What is a "look?"

A "look" is a user-submitted photograph that displays their outfit, and, if they choose, a description of what they're wearing and where they got it.

The Picture shows a look from Anni Kilkki, a 20 YEAR OLD MULTISLACKER FROM FINLAND

and now: Can someone please send me an invitation?
and: No, I am not going to post SL stuff there. but thats another idea.
